Attending is a unique, historic, and highly structured experience that blends pageantry with a high-energy party. Deeply rooted in tradition, following precise logistics and etiquette is crucial for blending in and having a great time.

👗 DRESS CODE

Door monitors ("fashion police") will openly turn away guests who do not meet the exact criteria.

Black Tie / Formal: Men must wear a traditional dark tuxedo (black, midnight blue, or dark grey) with a black or colored bowtie. Suits and ties without a tuxedo jacket are rejected. Women must wear a floor-length gown, solid colors, sequined or flashy designs are welcomed. High slits, cut-outs, and shorter than floor length are not.

🚗 PARKING AND ARRIVAL

Navigating the logistics of getting to the venue requires advance planning due to possible  traffic or localized street closures, in the case when parades or other events are scheduled the same evening downtown.

• Use Ride-Sharing: Many veteran ball-goers recommend using a ride-share service. It eliminates parking stress, ensures safety after drinking, and drops you off near the entrance.
• Garage Parking: If you choose to drive, map out to the parking garages adjacent to the Raising Cane's River Center. Your member host can get you parking passes in advance.
• Arrive On-time: Doors open between 6:00 and 7:15, prior to the official tableaux ceremony. Give yourself plenty of time to clear security, find your table, and grab a drink before the entryway doors are locked for the royal presentation.
